Early Life and Background

Ishan Kishan, born on 18th of July 1998 in Patna Bihar is one of the emerging players of Indian cricket. He belongs to Bhumihar Brahmin community and a man of principles who was brought up in a tradiional Indian family. His father, Pranav Kumar Pandey is into building construct business and resides in Patna. Because of these controversies regarding registration between the two bodies namely Bihar Cricket Association and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Ishan started his cricketing career at the Jharkhand state which was a big turning point in his career.

Ishan started his cricket in Bihar but some needed registration problems with the Bihar cricket association shifted to Jharkhand where he fuly blossomed. In the next Ranji Trophy season which was 2017/18, he was leading run scorer for his team Jharkhand scoring 484 runs in 6 matches and in Vijay Hazare trophy 2018/19, he also scored 405 runs in 9 matches.
His successful performance remained limited to domestic cricket by playing Deodhar Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy wherein He came up with both the tons against Jammu and Kashmir and Manipur. He was selected for India Red team in the 2019-20 Duleep trophy, thus, proving the regularity of his performances at the domestic level.

Ishan started his IPL journey in 2016 where he was bought by the Gujarat Lions team and was retained for the next year.
